Irene M. Tutor

Irene discovered the circus in Madrid in 2010 – practising aerial acrobatics and lifts – while studying journalism. It was during these early years that her interest in creation was awakened alongside the La Peripatética company, with whom she toured in 2012 and 2013.

Her passion for the circus led her to seek training from leading professionals such as Will Davis and Leo Hedman, and in 2014 she moved to London.

After this experience, she returned to La Rioja to promote the practice of aerial acrobatics and began working as a teacher in various venues, while continuing her training.

In early 2021, she moved to Berlin, where she combines educational projects in the field of social circus with performance projects, participating in initiatives such as Bichotas Zirkus, Kol.labor.aktiv and the dinner shows at the Knutschfleck Bar. In 2023, she founded the Circ Onirico company with Hugo Fonfon.

In 2025, she joined the Advanced Cycle at the Rogelio Rivel Centre for Circus Arts to develop her personal research project, with the hoop and rope as the main elements.

Hugo Fonfon

Hugo Fonfon discovered the joys of juggling when he was 6 years old. After years of teaching himself the technique, he took to the stage for the first time in 2014 with his first show, entitled ‘Le Voyageur Interstellaire’ (The Interstellar Traveller). He has performed this show from Argentina to Vietnam, via Uruguay, France, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Cambodia and more. He finally studied in the Rogelio Rivel school in Barcelona in 2025.

He then took part in the creation of eight other shows with different troupes of different nationalities, in which he was able to perfect his relationship with the stage. In his creations, Hugo Fonfon always mixes disciplines (circus, theatre, mime, music, magic, etc.) in order to tell his stories and move away from pure technique.

During a tour in Cambodia, he was invited to take part in a show by ‘Phare Ponleu Selpak, the Cambodian Circus’. After being listed as a UNESCO heritage site with his mini-series during COVID, Hugo performed in 2024 for Billie Eilish and Lena Situation....
